Smartlipo™Procedure
This advanced technology uses a tiny laser to liquify the fat cells before permanently removing them through a small incision, while simultaneously coagulating the tissue around the area resulting in overall tighter skin. Unlike traditional liposuction, Smartlipo™ is minimimally invasive, requires only local anesthesia, and results are visible in as little as one week with continued improvement for up to six months. Patients may continue most normal activity within 48 hours, but strenuous activity should be avoided for two weeks.
Approximately 1-2 weeks prior to the procedure, routine blood work will be done. Any blood thinners, such as aspirin, should be stopped at least 7 days prior to the procedure.
The day of the procedure, be sure to wear comfortable clothing such as a sweat suit and socks.
Because the Smartlipo™ does not require general anesthesia, you may eat a light meal prior to the procedure. You will need to arrange transportation home.
After the procedure, you will need to wear compression garments.
